The Murder Capital
The Murder Capital offers post punk in the best Irish tradition: with a massive guitar sound and thundering drum salvos. The band effortlessly switches gears from intimate, introspective moments to explosive, energetic sections. They also have a not-so-secret weapon: front man and agitator James McGovern. The latest album “Blindness” will come out in the Spring of 2025.
The five members of the band all hail from Dublin and met each other while they were students. In 2018, the band released their debut single ‘More Is Less’ as a music video. The video went viral and led to their first success. They quickly started working on their debut album “When I Have Fears”, that came out in 2019. This album was very well received. Shows at Valkhof Festival, London Calling and Lowlands were a bit hit and they have firmly established themselves as a must-see live act.
