USA Nails

The British band is prolific as well. Recently new album “Feel Worse” came out, which deals with the concept of ‘schadenfreude’, so the pleasure someone gets from observing someone else’s misfortune. They use the theme as a mirror to their listeners, especially with regards to the situation in their own country. They criticise cutbacks, British authoritarianism and capitalist consumption, among other things. Well-known themes, but the band takes them quite seriously and packages them with raw, unbridled energy. “Feel Worse” is the most hot-tempered of USA Nails so far. The band has been touring with bands like Viagra Boys, Metz, Unsane, No Age and Pigsx7. Their show at Sonic Whip 2022 was one of the highlights, so we’re looking forward to their performance in Merleyn.

Groovy basslines are at the core of TV Cult’s sound. Add screeching guitars and crooner vocals to the German band’s overall sound and you’ve got a unique package. The band sounds like a mix of Joy Division, Black Flag and Idles. They have shared the stage with bands like High Vis, Ditz, Militarie Gun and Home Front in the past.
