Westside Cowboy
The Cowboys are coming back to Nijmegen! After a victory lap as support for Geese on their European tour, the Manchester band Westside Cowboy is coming back here for a show in the Purple Hall.
Westside Cowboy is a band from Manchester, founded by Reuben Haycocks, Paddy Murphy, Aoife Anson-O’Connell and Jimmy Bradbury. Ever since they started off, their career has been going like crazy. The band is winning over audiences left and right with their unique form of “Britainicana”, a mix of country, folk, Americana, indie rock, shoegaze and a healthy dose of creativity and experiment.
Their debut EP “This Better Be Something Great” has a raw and up-beat energy to it with sharp British lyrics. In 2025, things really started to get going and the band played many shows as support for artists like Blondshell, Geese and Black Country, New Road. In January, their album “So Much Country ‘Till We Get There” came out.
Westside Cowboy is highly recommended to fans of the aforementioned bands, as well as to those of Black Midi and Shame.
