American band Whores. is known for their intense, raw and uncompromising music style, in which they mix gritty noise rock with loud punk.
“Good Times, bad vibes” is the band’s mission statement, perfect for a bumper sticker. It says a lot about the music they make. The noise, sludge, crust and punk they produce is ruthlessly loud and vile, like a right hook on the chin. All of these are delivered in compact songs that are catchy as well. Their album “Gold” from 2016 is one of the best rock albums of the year. The songs of Whores. are tailor-made for the stage: live shows are energetic, to say the least. They’ve demonstrated this before in Nijmegen.
