Australian Xavier Rudd is coming back to Nijmegen for a performance on a location that fits him best: the open air!
Rudd makes spiritual, feel-good folk and is not just an artist, but also an activist. A recurring element in his music is the awe-inspiring force of nature around us and the importance that we protect it at all costs, as can be heard on his latest album “Jan Juc Moon” (2022). With this deep, inclusive message he manages to connect and inspire people. On his most recent release, the EP “Freedom Sessions”, Xavier Rudd focuses his attention on humanity: he considers this collection of songs as a “celebration of the blessing that ‘freedom’ represents – a simple state of being to which every human has a right”.
Live on stage, the Australian has an array of instruments that he plays himself: didgeridoo, drums, piano and guitar. Once again, he will perform on stage as an impressive one-man band. Xavier Rudd has shared stages with like-minded artists like Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Donovan Frankenreiter.
