English singer-songwriter Heather Nova broke through 25 years ago with the ground-breaking album “Oyster”. She invigorated the world of nineties pop with her acoustic pop/rock songs. Successor “Siren” (1998) was equally successful.
Her new album “Pearl” came out in 2019 and was produced by Youth, who did the production on the aforementioned albums as well. The title isn’t a coincidence; in her own words “A pearl is hopefully what forms inside an Oyster after all the years.” Fifty year old Nova had always wanted to make a sister album to “Oyster”, so she’s proud to present “Pearl” to the world now that it’s here.
