With an exciting mix of post punk, disco, glam rock, new wave and electroclash, LÉZARD is at the cutting edge between comedy and tragedy. Theirs are songs that develop like a comical theater piece and show the cacophony behind the scenes, too.
Debut album “Que se passe t-il” came out this year and is a diorama in which heart-breakers, voyeurs, escapists and dreamers come together beneath a broken disco ball. LÉZARD puts the camera on themselves in a desperate manner: what on Earth is going on this large blue marble?
With LÉZARD’s first number of singles, exciting ‘Nothing at All’ being the kick-off, LÉZARD became a massive live sensation in no-time. Their Nijmegen debut at Valkhof Festival was overwhelming.
“Que se passe t-il” is both a break-up and a comeback record: the five souls that form LÉZARD have left the party phase behind them. All spirits and fragments of those blurry nights have been sucked up and compressed, only to release them again into eccentric disco punk that dominate the body and spirit in a turbulent way.
