Canadian punk band PISS combines genres like hardcore and noise with poetry, sound experimentation, performance art, and visual art, striking with the force of a thunderclap. PISS’s music is not for the faint of heart; it comes straight from the heart, hits you right in the face, and cuts straight to the soul. This autumn, they are touring in support of their debut album, “you made me / skin on linen”.
The quartet’s music is both personal and political, delivered in a raw, unfiltered manner that is rooted in the female experience. Through their stunning performances, they do not shy away from shaking the audience awake with guttural screams and vocal cords pushed to the limit. Looking away is simply not an option.
The new album, “you made me / skin on linen”, depicts a youth shaped by structural, systemic, and intimate violence. It explores and questions how these experiences both shape and distort us. Rather than offering clear-cut answers, it leaves it to the listener to decide where the violence ends and the self begins.
The band has been gaining momentum since 2024 and has officially released three tracks, exclusively on Bandcamp. Now, they are adding a full album to the mix!
