Fleshgod Apocalypse is known for their mix of extreme metal with classical baroque influences. Both bombastic orchestral compositions and technical death metal full of blast beats and deep grunts are part of their core sound.
The fourth album, “King” (2016), was the first one on which their bombastic vision came to full fruition. the successor, “Veleno”, came out in 2019. This is an album that’s still as loud and ruthless, yet allows for more breathing air as well. The orchestral parts are played by an actual string section, which leads to a more organic overall sound. So, grab your baton and become your own maestro of metal!
Omnium Gatherum makes melodious death metal that is both melancholy and beautiful, but is a bit more aggressive as well. Just like Insomnium, Be’lakor, Amorphis and similar bands they manage to combine numerous styles and moods into short and snappy tracks with catchy structures. They are a perfect (second) support act for tonight.
