My Sleeping Karma + Colour Haze
Added up together, German psychedelic rock giants My Sleeping Karma and Colour Haze have been around for 50 years in the underground scene. A great reason to celebrate this with a double headline show. Where else than here in Nijmegen!
My Sleeping Karma has been known for years for their fascinating instrumental psychedelic rock. Individual quality of the musicians are completely subservient to the music and the relaxed groove. The sound of the Germans pulses like Tool’s and adds the abstract elements of a band like God Is an Astronaut. After the tragic loss of drummer Steffen, the band pulled themselves together again, trying to keep his legacy alive through new songs.
Colour Haze has been the flagship band of German stoner rock for over twenty years. They also lead the renowned label Elektrohasch. Stefan Koglek is the mesmerizing, charismatic front man of the trio. His guitar-playing is smooth and detailed, yet also heavy and intense when needed. The songs often end in long, extended jams during live shows, only to find their way back again to the original song in an organic manner. The groove is thick and bluesy and truly comes alive on the stage.
