New Orleans artist Neal Francis released his solo debut album “Changes” in 2019 through the refined Colemine Records label.
Francis previously worked with The Heard but was kicked out of the band because of substance abuse. He decided to turn his life around, kicked his habits and wrote new the songs that ended up on “Changes”. The music comes straight from the heart and is drenched in a vintage groove sound with hints of soul, funk, rhythm & blues and rock & roll. The songs are clearly inspired by legends like JJ Cale, Dr. John, Allen Touissant and Leon Russell. With his exuberant boogie woogie piano playing style Francis seems to reaffirm his lust for life.
