Warhaus, solo project of Balthazar front man Maarten Devoldere, is coming back to Nijmegen with the album “Karaoke Moon” in tow. First single ‘Where the Names Are Real’ starts timid and wavering, but quickly turns into an engaging ode to love, carried by Devoldere’s irresistible crooner voice.
With his well-known mix of sensual bass lines, spooky background vocals and swinging drums, Warhaus creates a musical world that sucks you in. This is peak Devoldere: intimate and full of emotion. Eight years ago, Warhaus got off to a flying start with two albums in two years: “We Fucked a Flame Into Being” (2016) and “Warhaus” (2017). In 2022, the impressive break-up record “Ha Ha Heartbreak” followed. 22 November 2024, the fourth album, “Karaoke Moon” came out. This features singles like ‘Where the Names Are Real’ and ‘No Surprise’.
