Kunstnacht awakens from its slumber to welcome you into a world full of art, culture, and creativity! Experience music in all its forms.
During Kunstnacht, the Nyma Makersplaats transforms into the largest soundbox in Nijmegen. Musicians Daniël Eskens, Fee Aaij and Rocco Hueting join forces for a one off, site specific musical performance in which the building itself becomes a musician. Expect a sizzling mix of styles, rhythms and sounds. Surprising, bold and danceable.
Daniël Eskens is a composer, bassist and producer. With his band FAST DE he fuses the worlds of jazz, club music, improvisation and alternative indie into an explosive and unpredictable sound. Adventure, playfulness and experimentation are central to his music.
Self-proclaimed troubadour Fee Aaij is an emerging jazz pianist and composer. She writes and performs both solo and with bands, describing her music as melancholic punk jazz.
Rocco is a musician with a love for synthesizers. He plays in De Staat and 4b2m. Over the past year he took his first steps into the world of improvised music with Hidden Soundsystem and WO III.
On September 20 the Nyma Makersplaats will be more than just a backdrop. The industrial character of the building will become part of the music, almost as if the building itself is singing and dancing along.
