Nusantara Beat creates a unique sound that combines traditional Indonesian music with a unique style of their own. The result is a mesmerizing mix of tropical and mystical sounds, taking the audience on a journey to the land of their ancestors. They don’t just honour tradition, but also show how rich and diverse Indonesian music is.
Nusantara Beat honours tradition, but at the same time they take the music to the future. They have done a number of successful performances all over the world. In Nijmegen, they have performed both at Valkhof Festival and Oranjepop. Highly recommended for fans of YIN YIN, Altin Gün and Jungle by Night.
Through Swiss label Bongo Joe Records, they have released a number of singles in the past. Their debut album is on the way. For their first, real club tour in the Netherlands, they will stop by in Nijmegen for a show in our Purple Hall.
