The Veils have been causing a stir with their dark, melancholy songs and impressive performance since 2002.
Creative mastermind behind The Veils is the charismatic New-Zealand-based front man Finn Andrews, who may remind you of a younger version of John Cale or Nick Cave. His lyrics and enunciation are often drenched in melancholy.
It is not that strange that film directors David Lynch and Tim Burton have used works by The Veils for their films. A concert of the band is a remarkable, often intense experience that will resonate for days afterwards. A new album is on the way and the band will return to Doornroosje to promote it.
