Fiesta Macumba

International Student Organisations Nijmegen geeft als aftrap van het komende collegejaar een klapper van een fuif in Doornroosje. Stilstaan is geen optie want op deze latin editie van ‘Ready for Take-off’ krijgt zelfs de meest stijve hark het op z’n heupen. Hoe we dat voor elkaar gaan krijgen?

We hebben niemand minder dan het Amsterdamse collectief Fiesta Macumba uitgenodigd om deze nacht tot een broeierig feest te maken. Deze club creatievelingen maakt al jaren het nachtleven onveilig met hun beproefde recept: dansen, flirten en genieten van de lekkerste Música Latina, van toen en nu! Resident DJ’s & friends bombarderen de dansvloer met een molotovcocktail van exotische geluiden: merengue, pachanga, reggae, tropical bass, cumbia, kuduro, bachata, favela funk, reggaeton, latin hiphop, afro, salsa… Alles wordt in de blender gegooid met een dampende dansvloer als resultaat.

Nijmegen’s international student organisations take you on a journey during the orientation week closing party in Doornroosje. During ‘Ready for Take-Off – Latin Edition’, you will enjoy one exciting last night in Latin-America before starting your studies at the Radboud University. In the great hall, Fiesta Macumba fills up the dance floor with a mix of exotic sounds. From reggae to tropical bass, reggaeton, latin hiphop, and salsa: everything is blended to heat up the dance floor. Are you in for something different? Come to the beach bar and enjoy a cocktail while being entertained by various music styles by our student DJs.
