Tarrus Riley + Alaine

In 1979 he was born in New York as Omar Riley, son of reggae singer Jimmy Riley and nurse Lavern Tatham. His mother was the one giving him his artist name of Tarrus, influenced by his star sign Taurus (bull). Tarrus started off as dancehall DJ and worked with Busta Rhymes (among others) in the past before releasing his debut album “Challenges” in 2004. In 2006 he had his commercial breakthrough with the album “Parables” that featured Jamaican number one hit ‘She’s Royal’. “Contagious” was released in 2009 and was another commercial success for Riley. He recently released his new album “Love Situation” which once again features a quality mix of roots reggae and dancehall.
